EGYPTIAN EXAMPLE; A WARNING TO AFRICAN LEADERS

Posted on: 04 July 2013

The West Africa youth Organization have followed with keen interest the happenings in Egypt.

We wish to congratulate the youth and people of Egypt for continuously relentless stand for their rights, freedoms and liberties. They have twice displayed the power of the masses and that legitimacy and sovereignty resides with the people not the elite.

The West Africa Youth Organization congratulates the Military of Egypt for their display of high moral ethics and discipline, they have once again proven that the military is a friend to the masses and must at all times represent and protect the interest of the masses and rise to their defense at any one time.

We wish to encourage our comrades in Egypt to remain steadfast and defend the peace, freedom and the liberties guaranteed them by the constitution and the universal human rights suffrage.

We also congratulate the interim president, while entreating him to represent the sovereign will of the people. The Egyptian situation should be a warning to the rest of Africa and our leaders. Legitimacy resides with the people, and the masses are the supreme repository of legitimacy and sovereignty.

Africa has no space for suppression repressive regimes, the days of breeding tyranny and dictatorship is over. We as Africans are ready to rise up to the occasion and determine who rules us and how it is done. We therefore call on all young people across the continent to be bold and demand their rights and accountability from governments.

Our leaders owe has duty, young people have the right to be able to accomplish their aspirations where ever they find themselves. Africa is too rich to have poverty; we are endowed with enormous ingenuity to depend on foreign aid.

African leaders beware of the power and wrought of the masses.

LONG LIVE THE POWER OF THE MASSES.
